HOP scouts players in Canada and across the United States and prepares them for U.S. college pathways. Canadian routes are still available to every player. Grad class, academics, measurements and film use one shared format, whatever route a player chooses.
United States
NCAA Division I, II & III
Division I and II programs can offer athletic scholarships. Division III programs do not offer athletic aid.
NAIA
Four-year colleges with their own eligibility process, separate from the NCAA.
Junior college (NJCAA / CCCAA)
Two-year programs, often used as a route to four-year schools.
Canada
U SPORTS
University basketball, with its own academic eligibility and athletic-aid rules.
CCAA
College-level competition through provincial conferences.
Prep & post-grad
Extra development years before a college commitment. These can affect eligibility timelines.
Academic eligibility
The NCAA Eligibility Center reviews core courses and GPA. Players from Canada and other countries submit international transcripts.
Amateurism
NCAA Division I and II prospects need amateurism certification. Club, prep and pro exposure can all matter.
Contact rules
Contact periods and allowed communication differ by association, division and grad year. HOP routes every contact request, so programs stay responsible for their own compliance.

Does membership buy a ranking?
No. Membership provides platform access and profile functionality. It never purchases an evaluation, ranking position or favourable report.
Can a coach see a minor’s contact details?
No. Personal contact details stay private. Recruiting contact is routed through House of Prospects and guardian-controlled permissions.
What information is verified?
Identity, school, club, measurements, production and other claims can be checked against appropriate source material and labelled by source.
Can visibility change over time?
Yes. Players and guardians can use the visibility levels appropriate to the record while consent remains recorded and reviewable.
